Phil Naden

Chief Executive Officer - Bila Muuji Aboriginal Health Service Incorporated

Phil Naden is the current CEO of The Bila Muuji Aboriginal Health Service INC situated in Dubbo NSW. Phil has previously held the positon of CEO with the Bourke Aboriginal Health Service and was the CEO of the largest ATSI Legal Service in Australia - ALS NSW/ACT.

Phil has represented at the National Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Legal Services Peak Committee NATSILS and been involved with the NSW State Coalition of Aboriginal Peak Organisations, NSW State Legal Assistance Forum, NSW State Police Aboriginal Advisory Council, Chaired the NSW State Corrective Services State Aboriginal Advisory Council and a previous member on the Juvenile Justice Serious Young Offenders Review Panel. Phils knowledge in the legal and health sector enables him to perform his duties as the CEO of Bila Muuji with great passion and pride for his people.

Phil is a previous Board Member with Orana Haven Rehabilitation Service at Brewarrina, current sitting member of the circle sentencing Court in Dubbo and recently appointed to the Aboriginal Health Advisory Council with the Western NSW Primary Health Network.
Phil is currently studying his Master in Business is a Justice of the Peace, former Queensland Police officer and qualified panel beater by trade.



Jamie Newman

Jamie Newman has been the CEO of the Orange Aboriginal Medical Service since 2005 and has been actively involved in Bila Muuji since this time. He acquired the role of a Director of Bila Muuji in 2008.

Jamie has over twenty years extensive experience working with and for Aboriginal communities at both a Government and Non-Government level and is driven by the desire to see all people have a “quality whole of life” and believes “Being Aboriginal is a reason to succeed, rather than an excuse not to”

Darren Ah See

Darren Ah See has been the CEO of Wellington Aboriginal Corp Health Service since 2003 and he has been involved with Bila Muuji Aboriginal Health Services Incorporated, since that time. Darren’s main roles as CEO is to manage and administer the operations of WACHS on a daily basis which covers the following business units, Human Resources and Administration, Finance, Primary Health Care Clinic, Healthy for Life Program, Social & Emotional Well Being Program, Indigenous Parenting Support Service, and the Aboriginal Community Governance component of the service. Darren has an extensive career in advocating on behalf of the local Aboriginal communities particularly in and around Wellington.

In the early part of his career he spent 6 years with the Wellington Council as a trainee Environmental Health Officer before moving into education where he was employed as an Aboriginal Education Assistant working at both Nanima Public School and Wellington Primary School. Darren then moved to the Department of Juvenile Justice where he spent 4 years working with juvenile offenders in various roles from managing local and regional community based programs, assisting with training and support services for the families, to training and development for the staff at the Orana Juvenile Justice Centre in Dubbo. He then spent the next 12 months with the Macquarie Area Health service as manager / Case Worker of the Wellington Options Program before taking on the role of CEO of Wellington Aboriginal Corporation Health Services.

Darren identifies WACHS major achievements as being the new $3.5 million Multi-Purpose Capital Works Project; WACHS Healthy for Life Program; the Auspice and set-up of Coonamble & Orange Aboriginal Health Services in consultation with the Aboriginal communities in those areas; six current and past Board members achieving their Certificate 1V in Business Governance (Indigenous);the recent funding of the Healthy for Life outreach program to Thubbo AMS, Peak Hill AMS and Coonamble AMS; and the Nurse Family Partnership program covering the Wellington and Dubbo communities.

Has worked in Health for 30yrs.
