Phil Naden

Chief Executive Officer - Bila Muuji Aboriginal Corporation Health Service Incorporated

Phil Naden is the current CEO of The Bila Muuji Aboriginal Corporation Health Service INC situated in Dubbo NSW. Phil has previously held the positon of CEO with the Bourke Aboriginal Health Service and was the CEO of the largest ATSI Legal Service in Australia - ALS NSW/ACT.

Phil has represented at the National Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Legal Services Peak Committee NATSILS and been involved with the NSW State Coalition of Aboriginal Peak Organisations, Chaired the NSW State Corrective Services State Aboriginal Advisory Council and is a previous member on the Juvenile Justice Serious Young Offenders Review Panel. Phil is a current sitting member of the circle sentencing Court in Dubbo and recently appointed to the Aboriginal Health Advisory Council with the Western NSW Primary Health Network. Phil’s knowledge in the legal and health sector enables him to perform his duties as the CEO of Bila Muuji with great passion and pride for his people.

Phil has just completed his MBA, Master in Business Administration, Phils a Justice of the Peace, holds qualifications in Management and Justice, a former Queensland Police officer, qualified panel beater by trade and is currently a Principal Research Fellow with the University of Western Sydney.

 

 

Jamie Newman

Jamie Newman has been the CEO of the Orange Aboriginal Medical Service since 2005 and has been actively involved in Bila Muuji since this time. He acquired the role of a Director of Bila Muuji in 2008.

Jamie has over twenty years extensive experience working with and for Aboriginal communities at both a Government and Non-Government level and is driven by the desire to see all people have a “quality whole of life” and believes “Being Aboriginal is a reason to succeed, rather than an excuse not to”
