Regional Programs
Regional programs offer a two-fold advantage for each individual service. They are shared across the members as an essential service which would not normally be available to the individual members. For some, the regional programs are complementary to existing services and offer a supportive concept to the member service.

Continuous Quality Improvement
The purpose of the Bila Muuji CQ Project is to provide effective, high quality primary health care for Aboriginal people accessing Bila Muuji services. The aim of the Bila Muuji CQI Project is to embed CQI practices to support improvement of health care quality across Bila Muuji services.
Project Principles:
- Strengthening Aboriginal community controlled models of care
- Regional approaches to quality improvement activities
- Co-design and collaboration
- Accountable governance processes
Carol Jobson
Carol Jobson is the Co-coordinator of the project, Carol is a Registered Nurse and Midwife with a background in Aboriginal Health. Carol holds qualifications in Mental Health and Auditing. Carol worked across the Top End of Australia and the Kimberley for many years. Her background is in Primary Health Care, Health Centre and Program Management, Chronic Disease Management and CQI in both the Public Health System and ACCHS.
Bila Muuji Tele Home Monitoring Trial
Bila Muuji Aboriginal Medical Service and Western NSW Local Health District are conducting a 12-month partnership to trial an innovative tele-health home monitoring project for clients of the following Aboriginal Medical Services:
- Coonamble Aboriginal Health Service
- Dubbo Regional Aboriginal Medical Service
- Orange Aboriginal Health Service
- Wellington Aboriginal Health Service
- Yoorana Gunya Family Healing Centre in Forbes.

Kath Skinner
Tele Home Monitoring Project
Our clinical lead and project coordinator for this project is Kath Skinner (Dip,Appl.Sc.(Nursing); B.N.; M.Clin.Nursing; M.H.Sc.; RN; AFCHSM; GAICD).
Kath is an experienced project manager with over 30 years experience in the public, private and not-for-profit sector. She is a registered nurse and has lived in the Blue Mountains for over twenty years. Kath has been involved in several national and state-wide collaborative programs throughout her professional career. Most recently Kath has been working in the not-for-profit sector managing strategic projects, and clinical and support services across NSW. She is currently an appointed Director on the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District board, and has broad range of experience in operations, clinical and corporate governance and project management, with strengths in relationship management, service development and strategic partnerships. Kath’s particular interests are in organisational culture, all matters related to palliative care and end-of-life care, and in empowering clinicians to provide truly patient centered care.

Marrabinya (Indigenous Health Support Service)
Aboriginal people with a diagnosed chronic disease can be referred to Marrabinya by their GP for assistance with specialist appointments, transport, accommodation, and medical aids.
Marrabinya commenced 1 November 2016.
